The Fall at Trinity Bellwoods

These are some photos I took whilst I was in between jobs and could spend the days wandering the streets. Its Trinity Bellwoods Park which is a pretty big and close to my house, it was super beautiful when it was covered in leaves now its just brown and grey. It has a rink which opens soon so I can totes go ice skating there on Saturdays.

Black squirrels! These are mostly only in Canada, I think we only saw 1 in the US, but they are all black here.

Gahhhh so cute, fat and fluffy!

The amazing cafe that I got this from on Saturday:
Its savoury french toast with caramelised onions, slow baked apples & grueye was fucking amazing -almost died of fullness though.

This is where Grace Street is; there is a church on either side of the road and then Saving Grace (cafe above) next to one of them, its lovely, and is also a streetcar/tram stop so I hear it everyday and it reminds me of my Grace and how much better Canada would be with her here =(

Current Toronto Thoughts on Life.

When you have no one to talk to you get a lot of time to ponder. Here's what I've recently learned about life/myself.

5 reasons I'm loosing my heritage:
1. I refer to Rubbish as Trash
2. I have said Torono on more than one occasion unintentionally
3. I can't recognise Australian accents
4. I think 10° or more is sunbathing/picnicking weather
5. I'm no longer sarcastic everyday most of the day because here nobody understands

5 positives to having no friends:
1. I get to take myself out to a glorious lunch every Saturday with the money I don't spend on socialising with other people
2. My knowlegde of the world has a direct correlation with lack of friends, I read the newspaper most days, watch the real news & E! news, know the weather all over Canada, understand the European crisis and I watch at least 3 documentaries each week
3. I've lost weight mainly due to not drinking every night
4. I can now win Sudoku
5. I'm getting my monies worth out of my macbook
That is currently all that is occupying my mind except for my insane urge to go out this evening and drink by myself

Super Fun Goodbyes

As some of you - my darling readers - may already be aware my travelling bestie has left me for none other than her boyf. But you know there was one good thing about her departure and that was THIS night out. It was epic to say the least. The DJ had some obsession with Australia and I have faint memories of The Veronica's and My Sharona being played (apart from these the music was actually flash back amps). Here is our photographical journey through the evening.
Our typical 'take a photo of us whilst we are still pretty' photo.

And here are the photos after copious amounts of wet pussies and other alcohol were consumed. We were operating on the 'talk to the ugliest guy in the group' play for most of the evening....
These two guys came and talked to us they were pretty nice and personal space invading the usual shit. But turns out both of them turned up alone that night and live in Toronto. Seriously who doesn't have at least 1 friend to go out with in their home city? Well we soon figured out why they didn't have any friends to go out with, because they are stage 5 clingers. Check out stripped shirt bombing all of our photos.

Starting to get annoyed....

So happy to be here x 2!

Most hilarious classes! This guy was the nicest thing ever. He totally talked to us whilst we were trying to get rid of ole stripzeeeeeeeee.

My feet just getting around.

Yeah biggest fail out, but I had to put it up because... SERIOUSLY LC WAY TO SLIP THROUGH THE CRACKS IN THE FLOORBOARDS WHEN STANDING SIDEWAYS aka yr thinnnnnnnnnnnnn.

We I get drunk for some reason LC loves to photograph me. When I get home there will be a dinner party and there will be a slideshow of these photos. There is literally about 300. She goes click crazyyyyyy. Here are 2 sample shots....

Yeah pretty soon after this I think LC was vomitting/trying not to vomit under a table and we got kicked out. It was like 15mins before closing time - balllllls.

So we deiceded as it was LC's last night in Toronooooooo Western Hospital to go get some Poutine which is a traditional French Canadian dish of: chips, cheese & gravy. Sounds amazeballs right?! Its totally not. Firstly the cheese is cheese curds, secondly the gravy is more like water and the chips still have their potato skins on them EWWWWWWWWWW. So yeah it was shit but watevz becuz with out it we then would not have spent our last $10 and had to run out on a cab and get chased around the west end for half a hour, loose each other and hid between dirty buildings. Yeah super fun times. I was actually SSS (super scared shitting my pants) but luckily LC used her mad skillz at white lies to get us out of the situation. Oh yeah and poutine was good for something else; lowering the severity of our hangovers.

Also I would just like to note that NOBODY  in Canada street drinks, during our trek to this place we had a bottle of champagne and we the victims of many stares of death/jealousy. It will be the new thing in Canada by the time I leave or get fined for it.

Anyways the next 6 weeks may either be the best or worst blogging times, depending if I make any friends or not.

Loves xx

City by Night

Camera I love you, and you'll never bring me a bad image.....
We went out to the Toronto Islands the other night, people actually live there and the houses are super cute but I needed to conserve my battery for the bad boys below (my camera actually died just as the return ferry arrived!). Though we thought the housing would be really super expensive over there but turns out you cannot sell or buy the houses over there. Apparently they are kept in the family and there are bulk rules about transferring ownership of them. We totally wish we went over there in summer are it is so nice and there is a theme park, a petting zoo, bike hire, paddle boats and cafes but they all close down in early October.

BTW it was freezing! In the middle of a lake when its below zero not super fun times, but it was worth it. And it would have totally sucked ass if I didn't have a SLR.
